PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement closing to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and review general ledger account reconciliations and analysis to ensure the Company’s financial records are accurate.
- Ensure smooth and timely day-to-day accounting: collaborative work with colleagues in GBS, ensure timely submission of accounting documents and control their processing.
- Monitor accounting operations and report on irregularities immediately.
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit requests.
- Provide accounting perspective and assistance on Company projects.
- Collaborate with Global Financial Shared Services and local teams on ad hoc accounting projects as required.
- Identify, implement, and/or support process improvements in the role’s areas of responsibility, as well as those on the team level.
- Adapt and implement harmonized adidas group accounting rules and standards to be in line with legal and tax requirements.
- Develop process guides for defined areas to ensure standardized execution of tasks.
- Provide accounting expertise and support to other business & finance functions in the local Market.
- Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Fluency in written & spoken English.
- Proficient computer skills (MS-Office).
- SAP experience preferred.
