Responsibilities
- Conduct Accessibility Trainings for Designers, Developers, and Content teams, improving awareness and skills across the organization
- Consult the UX Team on potential WCAG violations, prioritizing better UX choices to meet business requirements and enhance usability
- Review Design Style Sheets, guidelines, and documentation to ensure accessibility compliance and consistency
- Provide general accessibility technical guidelines to the Development Team, including HTML and ARIA patterns
- Collaborate with QA Teams to ensure accessibility standards are met during testing and validation phases
- Offer ad-hoc consulting sessions for Design, Development, and QA Teams to address specific challenges
- Perform A11y Acceptance of the component’s initial development to assess compliance with accessibility standards
- Submit suggestions for component improvements to support better accessibility outcomes
- Act as a subject matter expert in accessibility-related topics, sharing knowledge across the organization
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in accessibility consulting or a related role, with a deep understanding of WCAG, ARIA patterns, and HTML standards
- Proficiency in accessibility testing tools, screen readers, and assistive technologies
- Background in UX design, development, and quality assurance processes, with experience integrating accessibility into workflows
- Strong expertise in evaluating design documentation (e.g., Design Style Sheets and guidelines) for accessibility compliance
- Capability to train diverse audiences, including designers, developers, and content teams, on accessibility best practices
- Familiarity with creating actionable recommendations to improve accessibility in web components and digital assets
Nice to have
- Knowledge of emerging trends in digital accessibility and usability advancements
- Familiarity with accessibility standards beyond WCAG, such as Section 508 or ADA compliance
- Understanding of international accessibility requirements and their implications for global teams
