About the role
We’re seeking a developer who’s strongest on the backend (Node.js) but also comfortable jumping into frontend tasks when needed. Today, parts of our platform still run on a PHP + Vue.js monolith, but we’re actively moving toward a modern microservices architecture. This role is key: you’ll play a central part in our migration while also building new features that will directly improve the experience for thousands of users across Latin America and beyond.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable features that drive our platform forward.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to ship meaningful improvements.
- Write clean, maintainable code with a strong focus on backend development in Node.js.
- Contribute to code reviews, pair programming, and the adoption of development best practices.
- Keep learning, experimenting, and sharing knowledge to help the whole team grow.
- 4+ years of experience as a web developer (frontend, backend, or fullstack).
- Strong proficiency with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Solid understanding of web fundamentals and application architecture.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in remote teams.
- Experience with Vue.js, React.js, Next.js, or PHP.
- Familiarity or interest in Kubernetes.
- Background in marketplace platforms or other large-scale web products.

- Compensation: USD 3,000 – 4,000 per month
