Position Overview
As a QA Specialist, you will lead quality assurance across our website and digital project portfolio. This hybrid role includes technical QA (unit testing, regression testing, dev process QA), visual QA (pixel-perfect design alignment), and content QA (accuracy, SEO metadata, structure).
You’ll collaborate with developers, designers, project managers, and web producers to test, validate, and launch reliable digital experiences. Your work will directly influence product quality, client satisfaction, and overall delivery velocity.
This role is ideal for someone with a technical foundation in front-end development and a high attention to visual and functional detail.
Responsibilities
1. Technical QA & Development Support
- Partner with developers to test newly built components, pages, and features across multiple CMSs
- Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and/or regression test cases using the team’s preferred stack
- Validate API connections, form behaviors, and dynamic content loading in both staging and production environments
- Assist in triaging and debugging issues in collaboration with the engineering team
- Review pull requests from a QA perspective, validating functionality and catching potential edge cases
2. Visual QA
- Compare components and pages to Figma designs and design systems to validate spacing, responsiveness, typography, components, and styling
- Test across breakpoints and devices (mobile, tablet, desktop) to ensure responsive integrity
- Identify and document visual inconsistencies and work closely with designers and developers for resolution
- Use tools like Bugherd, BrowserStack, Chrome DevTools, and Figma Inspect for precise QA coverage
3. Content & Functional QA
- Confirm correct formatting, component usage, and CMS structure based on strategic specs
- Test key functionality like navigation, forms, toggles, CTAs, accordions, carousels, and embedded content
- Ensure basic accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA) and flag potential issues for resolution
4. Process Development & Collaboration
- Develop and maintain QA checklists, SOPs, and regression suites to create repeatable, scalable QA processes
- Collaborate closely with PMs and Web Producers to prioritize and track QA items
- Use tools like BugHerd to log issues and communicate status
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in QA for websites or front-end applications
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (you can read and lightly edit code)
- Experience writing or maintaining unit tests and regression test cases
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and QA in a modern development workflow
- Experience using design files (Figma) to perform visual audits
- Confident using tools for browser/device testing (e.g., BrowserStack), bug tracking (ClickUp, BugHerd), and accessibility auditing
- Strong communication skills and ability to document findings clearly
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in a digital agency or working on multi-stakeholder web projects
- Familiarity with CMS platforms like Sanity, HubSpot, Webflow, WordPress, Dato, Builder.io, or Contentful
- Understanding of web performance metrics (Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse scores, etc.)
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD) workflows
- Knowledge of accessibility testing tools and screen reader behavior
- Understanding of REST APIs and browser developer tools for deeper bug analysis
What You’ll Get
- Long-term contractor engagement with consistent hours and cross-functional team integration
- A seat at the table in helping define and scale agency QA practices
- Opportunity to work on high-visibility website builds for global B2B brands
- Embedded collaboration with design, dev, and delivery teams in a modern tech stack environment
