About This Role:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Video Editor to support multiple consumer brands with social-first, ad-focused video content. Youll edit short-form videos for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts, with a focus on direct response creatives that convert. This is not about reinventing brand concepts; its about churning out quality, engaging edits quickly, while also having the eye to refresh or iterate on proven content when needed.
This role starts on a part-time/hourly basis, with the intention of building a long-term working relationship.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit UGC, b-roll, and raw content into engaging short-form videos for paid social and organic channels
Create direct response ad creatives, including VSLs, for Meta and other platforms
Follow the provided briefs while also suggesting creative tweaks to improve engagement and conversion
Add text overlays, graphics, transitions, and effects to optimize videos for social media
Iterate on winning creatives by producing variations based on performance data
Deliver consistent, high-quality edits on time, often with quick turnaround needs
Stay up to date with social media trends and video best practices to improve viewer retention
Assist with video strategy by providing creative input
Software/Platforms/Tools:
Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro (or similar professional editing software)
After Effects or Canva for graphics/overlays
Google Drive, Dropbox for file management
Familiarity with video compression and export settings for social platforms
Qualifications:
3-5 years of freelancing or professional video editing experience
Strong portfolio of social-first edits (Reels, TikTok, Shorts, Paid Social Ads)
Experience with direct response content or e-commerce brands is a plus
Excellent English communication skills (C1/C2 level)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
Creative eye with strong attention to detail
Flexible and reliable, comfortable at balancing multiple projects
Shift Schedule:
Monday-Friday, flexible working hours with overlap for team communication (US business hours, Mon-Fri)
