Who we are looking for
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Tech Lead to oversee a team of developers working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for a global account. This role is essential for delivering top-notch technical services to over 700 sites worldwide, collaborating in a dynamic, multicultural, and multidisciplinary environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.
What you’ll do
Technical Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and supervise a team of approximately 10 developers specializing in AEM.
- Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
- Propose efficient workflows and structure teams based on project needs.
Project and Operations Management
- Participate in and coordinate sprint planning, ensuring tasks are well-defined and prioritized (Agile/Scrum).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary global teams across different time zones to maintain 24/7 operations.
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects for various clients, focusing on innovative solutions while delegating and supervising others.
- Ensure the successful execution of proposed technical solutions, tracking progress through each project stage.
- Align strategies and objectives with local and offshore management teams (Kansas and Poland), supported by Project Managers.
Client Engagement
- Attend monthly technology committee meetings with clients to understand their needs and discuss tech trends.
- Propose innovative technical solutions and justify them effectively.
- Communicate ideas to the technical team and ensure proper implementation.
Technical Oversight and Review
- Approve pull requests and participate in pair programming when necessary.
- Ensure code quality and adherence to development best practices.
- Oversee development across various environments and manage GitHub repositories.
Promoting Best Practices
- Advocate for industry standards, best development practices, and the adoption of new technologies.
- Foster innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process and technology enhancements.
- Stay up to date on the latest trends and tools relevant to the AEM ecosystem.
What you’ll need
Technical Requirements
- Adobe Experience Manager (AEM):
- In-depth knowledge of AEM, including both cloud and legacy versions (ideal but not mandatory).
- Frontend Development:
- Strong proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and SASS (mandatory).
- Backend Concepts:
- Understanding of logical programming and basic backend principles, including multi-system/tool integration within a single ecosystem.
- Datalayers:
- Experience working with datalayers for data integration and analysis.
- Third-Party Components and Libraries:
- Familiarity with integrating and using third-party components and libraries in web projects.
- Development Tools:
- Experience managing repositories and version control with GitHub.
- Familiarity with JIRA for task and project management.
