Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Leads HSE field support for El Trapial operations including base business, construction, maintenance, and wells.
- Supervises HSE Field Reps.
- Accountable for development of collaborative relationships with stakeholders, peers, and reports.
- Responsible for the stewardship of OE processes and procedures; in the field.
- Leads and drives OE culture by focusing on Human and Organizational principles, Competitive Performance, risk and value driven decision making including organizational learning.
- Works with business partners to ensure alignment with goals and ensure adequate support is provided to customers in El Trapial.
- Ensure proper and timely reporting, high quality investigations, and emergency response preparedness.
- Sets direction for HSE team aligned with BPlan. Responsible for setting goals and plans to achieve objectives. Identifies, resources, and executes process improvements.
- Leads and develops the field HSE team through coaching and mentoring. Ensures field HSE OC is adequate and appropriately distributed. Grows organizational capabilities and support employee development.
- Member of the Argentina HSE LT and participates in hiring and retaining HSE talent. Ensures career development plans and training plans for HSE field personnel to ensure consistency in competency development for health, environment, safety, HES compliance, policies, OE standards and procedures.
- Responsible for executing the HSE field business plan.
Required Qualifications
We are looking for a seasoned HSE professional with the following qualifications:
- Education: Undergraduate degree in Engineering or a technical field related to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years in Oil & Gas operations, with a strong background in field-based HSE leadership.
- Language Skills: Advanced or fluent proficiency in both English and Spanish.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of risks and hazards associated with Oil & Gas operations.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical issues and expectations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership & Initiative:
- Demonstrates a proactive, self-starter attitude.
- Capable of setting priorities and maintaining high levels of performance in dynamic environments.
Special Considerations
- Significant front-line presence is required.
- The operational base is El Trapial Field, Neuquén.
- This role follows a 14x14 rotational schedule.
Relocation Options:
Relocation is not offered for this role. Only local candidates will be considered.
International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
