What you’ll do
As a member of the Global Services Unit, you will be a part of a creative team responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing, and launching. Your focus will be to develop Go packages and programs, to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code in meaningful ways. Also, as Devtech is focused on learning and development, it will be expected that you take active participation in company-wide knowledge-sharing efforts, and promotion of security, quality, and knowledge-sharing culture across the company. Creatively solving problems from the big picture to the nuts and bolts.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient, and secure Golang modules
- Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Terraform when needed
- Work with AWS services like SQS, Lambdas, ECS, SNS etc.
- Securely implement a role-based business application that interfaces with anti-virus, VPN, billing, and other security/monitoring features built for small businesses around the world
- Implement HTTP APIs, authorizers, and microservices to support product features
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for interface creation and adherence
- Provide accurate completion estimates for Jira stories, and continue to hone that skill over time
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Give quality and timely feedback to teammates in Github pull request reviews
- Write quality unit and integration tests to validate new and updated features
- Provide recorded or live demos of new functionality
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices
What you’ll need
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Golang development
- Strong understanding of software design patterns in Golang
- Experience with Terraform in AWS
- Experience writing GitHub Actions workflows
- Experience with various deployment patterns in production environments
- Proficiency in Git and version control workflows and Github Copilot
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Experience with RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) services like Connect Wise or Kaseya is a plus
- Experience with MDM/MAM (Mobile Device Management/Mobile Application Management) services like MS Intune is a plus
- Experience with different programming languages like Bash/Python/C# is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
