Job Responsibilities
This role would lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of market compensation data to inform strategic decisions, including benchmarking against industry competitors, developing pay structures, and advising HR leadership on competitive compensation strategies, requiring a strong understanding of compensation practices, data analysis skills, and proficiency with market survey tools; often collaborating with HR business partners and senior management to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Market Research:
- Conduct comprehensive market research using external salary surveys (e.g., Mercer, Radford) to gather data on competitor compensation practices for various job roles.
- Analyze market trends and identify industry benchmarks to assess company competitiveness.
- Conduct ad-hoc market analysis to support specific compensation initiatives.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Clean, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to generate actionable insights aligned to business strategy.
- Develop detailed reports and presentations showcasing compensation trends, market positioning, and recommendations for salary adjustments.

Compensation Structure Design:
- Maintain salary ranges based on market data in alignment with company strategy.

Survey Planning and Budgeting:
- Annually review survey participation and budget and make recommendations for changes.
- Manage the annual survey matching process. Own the relationship with our survey providers. Maintain and enhance our market database.
- Explore new ways of working leveraging AI in benchmarking.
Required Skills and Experience:

Education and Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in global compensation analysis, with a focus on market research and data analysis
- Fluent English( written and spoken)

Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Experience with compensation survey platforms
- Experience with Payfactors is a plus

Business Acumen:
- Strong understanding of compensation principles and best practices
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Knowledge of industry trends and competitive landscape

Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings to senior management and HR stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
