Position Overview
As a Legal Counsel, you will provide strategic legal support across key departments, ensuring contracts, operations, and partnerships comply with applicable regulations and protect the organization’s interests. You'll review and draft agreements, assess legal risks, and communicate complex concepts in a clear, business-friendly manner.

What You Will Do
- Drafting and reviewing contracts with Latin American payment companies to expedite the integration process;
- Review, draft, and manage service agreements, other contracts, and legal documents to protect the interests of the Company’s clients in both English and Spanish;
- Negotiation process support and facilitation;
- Coordination and collaboration with the different team members on various projects;
- Respond promptly to legal requests from the business development, operations, finance, marketing, and other departments;
- Summarize and communicate risks, legal concepts, company policies, and procedures in a way that business people can use.
- Collaborate with the business development, marketing, finance, and support departments to understand team goals and legal needs;
- Monitor updates on regulations, compliance, and new legal requirements and ensure that the business is compliant with these updates;
- Support the continuous improvement of standard agreements and legal processes;
- Communicate effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment;
- Support the compliance team to ensure ongoing statutory and business compliance.
Skills & Competencies Required
- Strong legal drafting and contract negotiation skills, particularly in commercial and service agreements
- Excellent analytical ability to identify legal risks and propose practical solutions
- Clear communicator capable of translating legal concepts into business-friendly language
- High level of discretion and integrity in handling sensitive or confidential matters
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working across departments
- Familiarity with corporate law, commercial contracts, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., data protection, fintech regulations)
- Adaptable and comfortable working across jurisdictions and time zones
- Able to support the continuous improvement of legal processes and documentation
Who Should Apply
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or JD); admission to the bar is preferred
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a legal counsel, in-house, or corporate law firm role
- Experience working in technology, fintech, payments, or a highly regulated industry is a plus
- Previous exposure to cross-border legal matters and contract negotiation with international stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- No restrictions on business travel, and flexibility to work across global teams
