Manages the tax liability of the company including the planning, accounting, filing, and reporting process; gathers information for purposes of satisfying income tax requirements at all levels of jurisdiction.
Main responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Tax returns preparation/supports the filing of tax returns
Tax determination on customers billing
Understanding of regulations and
Business an accounting acumen
Supporting internal and external audits
ERP/tax applications and databases maintenance
Main Activities:
- Manage most complex account reconciliations. Address corrective measures that may also impact other teams. Prepare fluctuation analysis (P&L, B/S, payments).
- Analysis of accounting data and inventory gains/losses for tax reporting purposes.
- Conduct research for more complicated tax questions and contacts tax authorities for clarification as needed.
- Lead communication with business partners on issue/discrepancies resolutions.
- Review Chevron customers’ taxability application based on tax law and business to ensure compliance
- Leads, coordinates and collaborates on special projects as well as review regulations and procedures
Required Qualification/Soft Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, business, finance or tax
- Combination of +10 years of tax accounting, finance and/or audit experience Excellent oral/written English skills
- Fluent in ERP/Tax systems or tax applications. Utilizes knowledge of work group systems to assist on enhancements and development projects. Preferred qualifications in system implementation (SAP)

- US or International Direct and Indirect tax experience

- Able to adapt processes in response to a fast-paced environment.
