Data Science Engineer

We're looking for a talented and proactive Data Science Engineer with a strong focus on backend development, automation, and system integration. In this crucial role, you'll leverage your Python expertise to build and maintain vital connections with our partners via APIs, streamline internal workflows through innovative automation, and integrate various external platforms. Your work will be instrumental in enhancing our operational efficiency, performing data analysis to extract insights, and supporting our data-driven approach to solving business challenges.
What You'll Do

• Develop and Maintain Integrations: Design, build, and manage robust integrations with partner systems using Python and technologies like REST APIs and webhooks.
• Drive Automation: Identify opportunities and implement automated solutions for key operational tasks, such as form submissions, portal interactions, data synchronization, and reporting.
• Build Backend Tools: Create and deploy backend applications, services, and intelligent bots using Python to support our internal teams and improve productivity.
• Analyze Data & Solve Problems: Utilize your data analysis capabilities to interpret data, generate insights, and work with teams to solve complex business problems with clean, scalable code.
• Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, and apply your problem-solving skills effectively.

What You'll Bring (Requirements)

• Strong Python Skills: Proven experience in backend development with strong proficiency in Python.
• API & Integration Expertise: Demonstrated experience in building, consuming, and managing integrations with public/private APIs and third-party services using Python.
• Problem-Solving Acumen: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle challenges creatively and effectively.
• Data Analysis Capabilities: Basic experience in data analysis, including extracting, cleaning, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights.
• Version Control & Collaboration: Familiarity with version control systems (specifically Git) and best practices for remote collaboration.
• Proactive & Independent: A self-motivated and resourceful individual, capable of managing tasks effectively in a remote work environment.
• Excellent Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Bonus Points For

• Experience with CRM systems, particularly Quickbase.
• Familiarity with no-code/low-code automation platforms like Zapier or n8n.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with Next.js.
• Previous experience in the renewable energy or solar industry.
