Join us and help drive innovation and sustainability in our projects. 🎯 PurposeAssigned as Commercial Manager for medium projects with moderate risk or portfolio of medium projects. Provides commercial and contract support and advice to proposal and project teams. Monitors that proposals and projects are undertaken in accordance with Commercial Management requirements set out in the Knowledge and Management System covering pricing; risks; contract review, administration, and management; change management; and claims prevention and negotiation.. Role Context:This is a dynamic role that will require you to execute the Commercial function for the Argentina Operation. You will be required to nage and deliver commercial performance and value in the pre and post award commercial and contracts environment.You will provide advice to proposal and project teams, as well to location management. You will ensure that proposals and projects are undertaken in accordance with Commercial Management requirements as set out in the Knowledge and Management System covering pricing; risks; contract review, administration, and management; change management; and claims management and negotiation.📋 Responsibilities· Assists Sales activities by advising on commercial and contractual issues including development of commercial strategy, estimate compilation and review, risk assessment and mitigation, commercial reviews and contract / commercial negotiations.· Assigned to projects either full-time / part-time to manage and advise on all commercial and contract matters. This will include project initiation and set-up, performance to gross margin and cash management targets, risk management and mitigation. Attends project reviews and risk assessment meetings formally held on a monthly basis and participates / leads other project meetings as necessary.· Understand and manage Worley’s adherence to the prime contract by ensuring project team are briefed on contract requirements and risks, that Worley meets its obligations in terms of timely notifications on contract/commercial items, assists project management team on potential claims, ensures customers meet their contractual accountabilities.· Works with Project Control and Finance to monitor Worley’s performance to achieve revenue, gross margin and cash management targets. Undertakes regular (weekly / monthly) reviews on financial performance ensuring with accountable groups the accuracy and timeliness of critical cost and financial data.Requirements:What you will bring
🔍 Requirements:
- University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Typically 10+ years relevant experience including supervisory, project management and/or technical experience, with roles in commercial management or functions such as project control, contracts, supply chain, legal. Experience is for engineering services type projects. May have a professional body qualification / registration.
- Understanding of system, processes and tools related to field. Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues. May be involved in the development of new systems, processes and tools.
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of project and business financial reporting.
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of project and business cost base and basis for project gross margin, business profit.
- Experience of different commercial forms such as reimbursable rates and at-cost.
- Knowledge of cash-flow analysis and management.
- Experience in contracts negotiations, management and close out.
- Understand the nature of risks via proven project experience as they relate to the consultancy engineering and construction industry
- Ability to actively participate in contractual negotiations, lead claim management, assess potential contractual / commercial exposure to Worley in event of project performance issues.
- Experience in multi-location and multi-cultural project teams, knowledge, understanding and experience of project and business financial reporting.
- Deep understanding and knowledge of project and business cost base and basis for project gross margin, business profit.
- Demonstrated experience of different commercial forms including lump sum services, fixed fee, incentive schemes, reimbursable rates, etc.
