Client Services Associate, Capital Markets

About the Role:
Grade Level (for internal use): 07
The Team: Join a team that develops your financial knowledge, S&P product expertise, problem-solving skills, and professional communication. You will serve on the Capital Markets Client Services team, where you will help clients resolve their issues, interpret our data, and navigate the Capital IQ and Capital IQ Pro platforms. Working as a team is essential in this role. Additionally, Client Services interacts with many internal teams, including Sales, Content, Product, and Technical Support.

Responsibilities and Impact:
Following approximately 1-2 months of training and mentorship, you will begin to support clients over the phone, via web chats and emails. Beyond learning how to communicate with clients, you will also receive deep-dive training on our data, present group projects, learn about our customer segments, and gain exposure to additional S&P Global platforms. This role is built to provide on-the-job training and networking opportunities that will prepare you for a successful career in S&P Global’s Market Intelligence division.

Complete required certification exams along with a rigorous evaluation process that will test skills and capabilities.

Assist market leaders and decision-makers across the Financial Services industry.

Grow and improve your skills by supporting enterprise-level products and new technologies.

Basic Required Qualifications:
Work in a hybrid flexible model with two days a week in the office. Working hours: 7 am to 4 pm or 8 am to 5. Flexibility to occasionally work on planned weekend coverage (Saturday or Sunday, having a weekday off instead)

Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills in English. Other languages are considered a big plus (German, French, Portuguese, Italian, etc)

Ability to join a class of new hires in September 2025

Interest in a client support role.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business or work experience.

Positive, flexible and proactive with a “can do” attitude.

Relationship Management: Passion for building relationships with finance professionals and enthusiasm for learning and working in the financial services industry.

Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work well with people from varying backgrounds.
