Accounting Assistant
The Accounting Assistant will perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the Accounting Department. The Accounting Assistant should be familiar with both accounts receivable and accounts payable cycles.
What you’ll be doing:
- Invoice data entry.
- Assist with monthly billing.
- Daily check deposit in banking system.
- Reconcile all vendor and supplier statements.
- Liaison between Purchasing and Logistics Center for vendor inquiries and purchasing efficiencies.
- General clerical duties.
- Maintain electronic and hard copies of filing system.
- Assist in any system entries, as required.
- Resolve administrative problems and inquiries.
- Assist with audit requests, gathering reports, invoices, checks paid, and credit card payments.
- Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails.
- Prepare agendas for meetings and prepare schedules.
What we’re looking for:
- 1-3 years’ experience in business accounting or invoicing.
- Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required.
- Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment.
- Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management.
- Ability to respond to changing technology.
- Ability to support, in the strictest confidence, information received concerning confidential matters, as well as a high degree of professionalism.
Bonus Points:
- Knowledge of ERP systems, Great Plains desirable.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
