Role Summary:
As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for account reconciliation, journal entries, consolidation, ad hoc queries, and adjustments.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accounting and reporting activities are completed timely and in accordance with company policies (US GAAP).
- Ensure SOX compliant processes and controls.
- Monitor and reconcile the assigned key accounts, offering proactive support and service about all the specific and usual requests of the work team.
- Analyze account balances and activities to take the appropriate measures, to increase the accuracy of the accounting records.
- Supplemental disclosure reporting.
- Regularly and proactively organize calls with internal and external auditors (conferences) to verify the execution of the procedures and establish measures to maintain and improve the excellence of the records.
- Organize and coordinate the internal and external audit deliverables to comply on time with all their requirements.
- Work with site controller and finance business partner team to ensure accurate and controlled financial statements for the site.
- Help develop an environment and culture that supports the attraction and retention of quality talent.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls for the site operations.
- Build a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Work cross functionally to ensure end-to-end processes work within the assigned region or sites.
- Maintain a good relationship with site leadership to ensure a healthy service level.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 3-5 years of experience with general accounting
- English advance skills
- Knowledge of US GAAP is required.
- Knowledge of ASC 606 - Revenue from Contracts with Customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong bias for action and ability to proactively recognize and resolve issues.
