Were Looking For a Senior Cloud Database Engineer
Were seeking a Senior Cloud Database Engineer to join a high-impact, long-term project for one of the most innovative fintech companies in the region. This is a strategic role where youll be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing cloud-based database environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams and help evolve a robust infrastructure that supports mission-critical services. Were especially interested in professionals with multi-cloud experience and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
What Youll Be Doing
Design, implement, and maintain cloud database environments ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience.
Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to deliver secure and scalable database solutions.
Optimize SQL queries and database operations (PL/SQL, Bash scripting) for performance and efficiency.
Manage database security and scalability using tools like Datadog, Vault, and BeyondTrust.
Monitor production environments and troubleshoot incidents to ensure service continuity and data integrity.
Contribute to process automation using Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, and GitLab.
Take part in agile planning and task management using Jira.
What You Bring
Proven experience with cloud-native databases such as Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, Elasticache, Azure SQL Database, and Oracle Database in cloud environments.
Advanced knowledge of SQL and database design, especially in large-scale and high-complexity projects.
Familiarity with performance monitoring tools like Datadog and CloudWatch.
Experience working with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible.
Strong command of GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipeline integration.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams using agile methodologies.
