What you'll do 

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll be the company’s expert in building our first Generative AI and Machine Learning application. You will architect, implement, and deploy scalable ML solutions integrated with our product, while ensuring they’re efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the needs of internal and external users. You’ll also mentor other engineers, shaping the way we do data modeling and coding, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data practices that enhance business and product development.

Specific responsibilities include: 

• Working with roughly defined requirements and using the business vision to elaborate and build effective solutions to data informed decision problems 
• Building the infrastructure required to enable self-serving of a data platform to be used by a variety of stakeholders with different skill sets 
• Build and deploy the company’s first Generative AI and Machine Learning application within the Stensul product, delivering impactful solutions that enhance product offerings and drive insights.
• Following our agile methodology and contributing to its improvement 
• Own and lead initiatives from inception to delivery and maintenance in an autonomous way 
• Proactively adding positive energy to our rapidly growing company

Your skills and experience 

• Machine Learning Expertise: Proficient in building, training, deploying and monitoring ML models, with a focus on practical, scalable applications that drive product and business value.
• GenAI Know-how: experience in building content generation applications utilizing techniques in the NLP &/or Image Generation field, having exposure to multi-modal generation is a plus.
• Experience with GCP and Related Technologies: Skilled in GCP services (e.g., BigQuery, GKE, Vertex AI), and tools like Databricks, MongoDB, and MySQL.
• Proficiency in Data Transformation and Modeling: Strong understanding of data modeling, data transformation, and preparing datasets for machine learning and analytics.
• Knowledge of Orchestration and Automation Tools: Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect to automate and scale ML pipelines.
• Programming Skills: Skilled in Python, Java or Scala or other commonly used in ML engineering. Exposure to SQL, PHP Laravel, Typescript & Vue are a plus.
• Mentorship and Communication: Ability to mentor junior team members and clearly communicate complex ML concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Autonomous, Resource-Conscious Development: Comfortable making cost-effective decisions across multi-cloud and data infrastructure setups.
