General Summary
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and leading the execution of the Business Platforms and associated specialties’ marketing plans at a cluster level, in alignment with the Regional BU strategy. Responsible for achieving Sales and GP targets, as well as for managing Marketing budgets for the BU(s). Partners with Commercial teams to provide required direction and support and to ensure the commercial execution that leads to achievement of business goals.
Responsibilities
- Leads execution the local Marketing Plan for the BU(s) in alignment with the Regional strategy and guidelines. (includes: product launches, segmentation, pricing, target-customer definition, promotional and educational activities, marketing materials and samples, Sales Force training needs, etc.)
- Portfolio Management: support the development of the adequate market approach for the BU portfolio. New Product Introduction, lifecycle management, portfolio optimization, segmentation and positioning.
- Lead Pricing & Segmentation strategies as well as price lists for all responsible products in the BU portfolio.
- Actively participates in key Business Processes and initiatives: Business Planning, Strategic Planning, Forecasting, special projects.
- Builds strong partnership with the Commercial organization in order to gather customer insights, translate needs into commercial solutions, drive and support sales execution.
- Performs regular Business Analytics and monitoring: Sales performance and trending, profitability (GP), investments, resource allocation, to ensure business effectiveness and profitability.
- Develops Market Analytics and Market Research: Defines market size and potential, explores competitive dynamics, general market trends (e.g. procedure and product adoption, regulatory and reimbursement changes, etc.), gathers insights and VOC.
- Builds strong relationships with Key Customers, KOLs and Scientific, identifies and supports the development of residents and future KOL´s.
- Meets with key physician practices and hospital marketing and administrative personnel to present marketing programs and procedure expansion solutions;
- Partners with Regulatory Affairs to define priorities and follow-up/support local product registration in order to ensure business continuity and new product introduction in a timely manner and in alignment with the BU strategy.
- Partners with Training and Medical Affairs to define/plan Training and Medical Education strategies and activities. Supports execution as required.
- Creates and adapts Marketing Materials to support promotional and educational activities. Responsible for Marketing communications (internal and external)
- Handles complex customer product questions and objections consistent with sales training methodology. Mentors less experienced specialists;
- Cooperation with distributors including educational programs and product trainings for distributors sales force.
Qualifications
- Higher degree and at least 1-3 years of experience in sales or marketing / experience in Medical Devices as an advantage (or is preferable)
- Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Ability to work across geographical and cultural borders, exerting leadership by influence
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in hard pressure environment
- Good working Spanish and English language (both verbal and written);
- Willingness to travel
- Strategic thinking, analytical skills, result-oriented, energetic, driven; team-player
- Proficiency in MS Office
