Global Vendor Manager

Job Purpose

The Global Vendor s Analyst is responsible for supporting internal Assurant business partners with ful, analytical findings, as well as advancing the overall Vendor Strategies.  This role will work with the Vendor Management team to use analytical techniques and identify process that we can improve to reduce the costs and gain efficiencies.  The analyst will present findings to the business and must be comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Vendor Management – Performance & Governance (40%)
  • Produce clear, fully, understandable work products to outline business opportunities and actionable recommendations.
  • Transform data into s by leveraging internal and external tools to identify and quantify opportunities with Global’s footprint.
  • Build studies that add substantial value to the decision-making process through proactive data analysis, reporting, and research.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements, execute fast and ensure the right approach and effort to the stakeholders.
  • Engage operational staff on special projects
  • Ensure vendors adhere to all the operational deliverables and obligations outlined in the contract
• Operations Excellence 20%
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency improvement
  • Engage with vendors on continues improvement opportunities
  • Channelize improvement ideas into actionable tasks
  • Identify opportunities where the vendor can be additionally engaged
  • Work with EXL vendor on all their required deliverables to include invoice validation, performance credit review, corporate advance tracking and GER Budget updates
• Volume forecasting and workforce management 10%
  • Act as the liaison between workforce management and the vendors to ensure accurate volume forecasts.
  • Participate in financial planning and vendor budget preparation
  • Ensure that Assurant is providing the vendors timely volume forecast based on contractual locked period
• Cost Management (25%)
• Track locked forecast and actual invoice leakage to manage costs effectively
• Outline accurate key performance indicators (KPI) for each function. Manage and monitor their adherence
• Validate volumes consumed for the purpose of invoicing
• Ensure invoices are validated and processed accurately every month
• Reporting and other duties (5%)
• Provide management reporting as required
• Participate in adhoc special projects

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years’ experience in operations, call center, or vendor relations
• Comfortable working with one foot in the technology world and the other in the business.
• Prior experience in business or process analysis..
• Ability to prioritize, organize and work independently or as part of a project team to complete multiple tasks.
• 3+ years – Experience in data analysis that includes translating s into recommendations
• 3+ years – Experience in an analytical role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical or machine learning modeling and communication

• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Requires good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple departments and client contacts across various geographies
• Able to work non-US working hours occasionally
• Ability to prioritize, organize and work independently or as part of a project team to complete multiple tasks.
• Ability to provide innovative approach to problem solving and demonstrate a track record of such
• Possesses strong analytical and research skills
